Seddons in talks with Lib Dem Team over Cattle Market Development

9.59.07am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 3rd May 2006

Congleton Lib Dem's have responded to calls by residents in Lower Heath about the appalling state of grass verges on the cattle market development. Rubble, concrete and litter are strewn across the verges and it is getting worse as the building work continues. It is unsightly not just for the new residents but also those living in the area. It is also the first sight anyone sees arriving in Congleton from Macclesfield or Manchester.

Congleton Lib Dem activist Amy Wilshaw commented "I managed to fill three sacks of rubbish from the verges and still they were piled high with debris. I have visited residents with Cllr Simon Davey and it is an issue of increasing concern. I am glad to see that our elected team are addressing the real concerns of residents and defending the rights of residents to a tidy environment."
